Oualidia
(The) Oualidia or Loualidia (official form in French) is a city in Morocco located in the province of Sidi Bennour and Doukkala-Abda, on the Atlantic coast between El Jadida and Safi, 158 miles south of Casablanca and 212 km from Marrakech. It is the urban center of the rural town of the same name.
El Walid, the last sultan of the Saadian dynasty, gave its name to this resort, one of the best protected in the north Atlantic coast. In the upper part of the city, you can still see some vestiges of its kasbah, built in 1634. Until the province of Sidi Bennour be created in 2009 Oualidia was part of the province of El Jadida.
